Good post, Steven. I'd also add that if you're only going to use video on one place on your blog, your about page must be that place. Even an audio recording would be good. Gosh... about pages are SO important to me. So many times I will visit new blogs and have no clue what they are about. If I can't easily find a link to an about page, I am out of there so fast. Plus getting to know the author is fun and makes things more enjoyable. I would to add that uploading a video to your about page can't hurt either. Most digital still cameras have a video option these days and they can be uploaded to YouTube fairly easy. Just lets people get to know you even more! Very true. Wouldn't you know that my About Me/Not So FAQ page is the single most viewed page on my site? People want to know and be able to interact with those they read.
