The Effects Of A Newsletter Pop-up On Spam
by Steven-SandersI wrote a post about a Free alternative to Aweber's subscribe to newletter pop-up, earlier this week. Since that time, I've noticed some things I'd like to share with you. I have seen both positive and negative comments (someone actually called me a "fucktard"- I guess you know you've hit it big when those kinds of comments start coming in.), as well as comments from those who are interested in finding out the results of my pop-up experiment...Read More » Share

Getting My Neighbors To Subscribe To My Blog
by Steven-SandersI sat down with my little girl Saturday to carve pumpkins and a michevious thought came into my head. I should find a way to promote my blog through the medium of Halloween. And what better way to do this than to carve the RSS feed symbol into my pumpkin. Sometimes I wonder if this is really the scariest pumpkin of all time. Here are a couple of pictures of my pumpkin. Although, now that I think about it, the RSS symbol only has 2 lin...Read More » Share

Free Alternative To Aweber’s Lightbox Pop-up
by Steven-SandersFor at least the past week, both John from JohnChow.com, and Darren from ProBlogger.net have been using a new function of aweber to make a Lightbox Newsletter opt-in form popup. They've seen alot of positive response from using it and have also seen gains of at least 4 times the number of previous subscribers. I'm not a big fan of popups because they're very instrusive, but this one seems to have a setting so it only displays once for each vi...Read More » Share

Motivation From A Slightly Different Angle
by Steven-SandersHave you every noticed yourself getting lost in saying, "They did this, or they did that, or did you see what happened on their blog?" It's a cycle we all get ourselves into at some point in our lives, whether it's something dealing with the internet or just our everyday physical lives. I'm really excited about this blog and about helping to give others my opinions on how to make money online. Even if only one person uses it and succeeds, t...Read More » Share

The Positive Effect of Top Commentators
by Steven-SandersMany of you have seen the "Top Commentators" plugin that has been circulating the wordpress blogging community for a while now, and I've noticed mixed ideas about it. I've neglected adding it to my blog for whatever reasons, I don't know. Was it because I didn't want to look like every other blogger out there? Why not? If what they're doing works, why not use it?!? If you aren't getting a great tool and using it on your blog or websit...Read More » Share

High Hopes For The SEO Think Tank
by Steven-SandersJeremy over at Shoemoney.com is giving away an all inclusive paid vacation to the SEO Think Tank this year, and everyone's invited... to participate in the contest that is. So here's my post on what I think I can contribute. First I'd like to say... I don't think I could contribute much in the department of knowlege or wisdom about the topic. It seems that if only the high end guys are attending, they would probably know just about everyt...Read More » Share

3 Reasons Why You Should Network in Prison
by Steven-SandersWhen I first glanced at one of the recent post topics over at johnchow.com I thought to myself, "Why would someone write 'Three Reasons Why You Should Network in Prison?'" Then I realized, it wasn't actually in prison at all. But I do wonder what kind of pointers a post with that title would contain, or if someone would even create a post about that particular topic. Seems like it'd be fun to read, never-the-less. In regards to John's r...Read More » Share
