I’ve got some sad news for those of you who have ever bought a Revolution WordPress Theme, and great news for those of you who haven’t but have always wanted one.
The revolution wordpress themes are going open source and will no longer be for sale on October 31, 2008. The themes will be replaced by new themes that will be developed and released under the GPL.
Brian explains more about the change in direction and his motives for doing so on his blog.
This means the revolution themes as we know them now will no longer exist ever. So whoever wins my Revolution City Theme giveaway contest, and whoever buys the themes before they are taken down are going to be the last people to be able to use them.
If you like the themes and want one for your blog, I suggest go here to get them while you still can.
