Steven:

You have inspired me! (again)

I’m going to our local used books bookseller – They’re huge! and tlak with them about putting up a flyer or poster for Tumblemoose. Since it’s all about writing, it could be a great marketing place.

Thanks!

George

  • What Twitter Can Do For Your Business
    Steven,

Twitter has replaced stumble as my primary mode of getting the word out. I still stumble, but I love the more personal aspect of tweeting.

There’s all kinds of little success stories and they all add up to one thing: Twitter works when you do it right.

  • Does The Post Date Affect Your Opinion Of The Content?
    Hey STeven,

To clarify my vote, if the content is still valid then probably not. With that said, if we’re talking about anything techie, I’ll discount it if it’s more than a few months old.

  • The Powerful Versatility of Wordpress
    Steven,

I’ve advocated switching some Blogger friends over to WP. Their response every time is, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?!”

I love it and believe it truly is the way for any serious blogger to go.

    Cheers

  • How to Grow Your Business with Twitter
    Steven,

It works, it really does. I get about 200 hits a month on my blog that have twitter in the url.

Also, here’s a quick story: I posted on my blog something I thought editors would enjoy. When I twitted it, I had nary a single response. I added the hashtag #queryfail (which I had seen a lot recently) and I got 4 editor type follows and 5 editor comments on the post.

    Twitter is so cool!

Great Idea George! It’s so easy to overlook the traditional forms of advertising such as print and face-to-face networking.
Building relationships is extremely important to any successful business, especially blogging. I really like the idea “tweetups”; I’ve given some thought recently to throwing a “blogging” mixer at a local pub.

Most people use the manned checkout because there are some people who don’t know how to scan their own items and place them in the bag. All you hear that the self-checkout is “Please place item in the bag. Please place item in the bag. Please place item in the bag. Please place item in the bag.”

    LOL Happy New Year Steven.

Events like IzeaFest are actually broadcast live on Ustream, so if you live in another country and can’t make it, then you can still join in via Ustream and Twitter.
