I’ve noticed recently that there are alot of people commenting on other’s blogs using a profile picture or “Gravatar” of a sexy girl with big boobs.
At first impression, it would seem like it would cause some guys to click to visit the blog just to find out more about the picture. And I think it would. But would it cause an increase in readership overtime, or would it be a simple one time increase?
While I think the idea behind the marketing scheme is a good one, I don’t think it would be very beneficial in the long run. I’m not saying don’t do it. I’m saying don’t rely on it to help bring you constant readership.

What do you think? Does posting a picture of a sexy girl with some cleavage showing cause you to want to visit a blog? And how long do you stay on the blog reading once you realize it was only a marketing scam?

it got my attention!
it looks like the expirement worked because i and probably a few other guys later, clicked on the post because of the mere fact it had the correct keywords that interested me triggered by my male dna, i do think that this will create a spike/spurge in visits/traffic, but like you i question if it will cause an increase in readership..hmmm..we’ll find out tho.
nice blog by the way i always come by and read it but never commented.
PheakTs last blog post..Changing of the Guards
Thanks for the comment. I do get alot of visitors here, just not very many that comment. I’m glad this post didn’t go as such.
This proves another factor of keyword marketing and search engine optimization. Keywords stand out because of a chemical makeup of the person looking for them. Like those above.
It got my attention too!!!!
